Family Caregivers of BC (FCBC) is a provincial, not-for-profit organization that proudly and compassionately supports over one million people in British Columbia who provide physical and/or emotional care to a family member, friend, or neighbour.
FCBC supports caregivers by providing access to information, education and supports so that caregivers feel more confident and successful in their important role.
We understand the common feelings of isolation, grief, compassion, joy, and exhaustion faced by many family and friend caregivers. FCBC provides direct support to caregivers through one-on-one emotional support, caregiver support groups, health care system navigation, and free educational resources. May is Caregiver Awareness Month!
During the month of May, Canada celebrates National Caregiver Month, honouring the dedication of over 8+ million individuals who provide care to family members, friends, and neighbours.
Caregiver Aware, a national campaign developed in partnership with caregiver support organizations across the country, aims to raise awareness about the experiences of caregivers in Canada. The campaign explores some of the areas significantly affecting caregivers, advocating for their recognition and support.

Celebrate Caregiver Awareness Month with us at our Caregiver Wellness Fair this May! Join us for a fun-filled day of connecting and engaging in wellness activities. Meet local providers who can support you on your journey and enjoy complimentary wellness demonstrations such as Caregiver Movement, Reiki, scenic bike rides with the Cycling Without Age Society, and much more! Free refreshments and a light lunch will be provided at the event. We can't wait to see you there!

Caregiving can be a wild ride! In celebration of Family Caregiver Month, FCBC is sponsoring the online screening of, “Caregivers in the Wild” with Dr. Mike Lang. Register and join our evening event where we will watch three short episodes of caregivers sharing their stories in nature. We will have Dr. Mike Lang, caregivers, and an expert discuss caregiver themes and topics. You will have an opportunity to participate and share your caregiving experience too. FCBC will share supportive resources and information on programs we offer to caregivers in British Columbia.
