Caregiver Decision Guide

Family caregivers provide most of the care at home for ill family/friends but often report they are not well prepared nor well supported to confidently carry out this essential work.

This webinar will focuses on an interactive resource designed to assist family caregivers anticipate and identify needs. The decision guide helps caregivers assess their current situation and identify what information and resources would be the most helpful.

1. It covers very pragmatic needs that pertain to day-to-day living and extends to care of the care recipient, both current and anticipated.
2. It helps caregivers assess the demands on their time and resources and consider when additional support might be required.
3. It prepares them to have focused conversations with health care providers and other services so needs can be met and best decisions made.
4. It reinforces for caregivers the need to think about themselves and their own well-being as a critical to the caregiving role.

This webinar is for people who are anticipating or actively providing care to a family member with a serious illness. People who are receiving care or expect to need care from a family member may also find the webinar useful.
