Why is this an important topic for both Health Care Providers and Caregivers? As partners in care, family caregivers often attend medical appointments, help their care recipients schedule, and manage medical and specialist visits. They are often aware of details of a patient’s condition and can share valuable insights with healthcare practitioners. Unfortunately, consent is often a barrier. Family caregivers can struggle with knowing how to obtain consent and where or how it needs to be secured. If healthcare providers can support caregivers and patients with this process, it can benefit everyone.
By the end of this webinar you will be able to:
- Describe caregiver friendly healthcare and its benefits
- Utilize practical tips to identify and support caregivers
