How we show up as a care partner has a lot to do with our mindset. Shifting our mindset to having an understanding that our needs are as important as the person we care for can be hugely impactful. While it will not remove the peaks and valleys that come with caregiving, it can positively affect the way we show up in our caregiving role (and sometimes can even result in the positive by-product of self-improvement).
