Webinars

In the second part of our “Being Caregiver-Friendly” webinar series, Family Caregivers of BC will discuss the importance of healthcare practitioners assessing the needs of family caregivers, separate from the person whom they provide care for. Emma Payton, from Island Health, Community Virtual Care will highlight how The Community Virtual Care Caregiver program interacts and treats caregivers as an individual client and how they are supported in their role.

This webinar is part of our Caregiver Rx Program, and it is for healthcare provider education.

This micro-webinar is an opportunity for healthcare providers to learn about how to monitor caregiver health by using informal and formal caregiver assessments and create culture change in recognizing, supporting, and valuing caregivers.

What you will learn from this 30-minute micro-webinar:
– The importance of patient-family-provider triad and monitoring caregiver health and well-being
– How to set up your healthcare team to identify, support, and include family caregivers.
– Learn from other clinicians’ experiences on incorporating caregiver assessments in healthcare settings.

Each participant will also receive two resources, an at-a-Glance healthcare provider resource and a tipsheet with simple things care providers can do in their interactions that make a difference for caregivers.
