Are you a new caregiver or has your caregiving journey recently taken a turn? You may feel that you need help but are not sure how to access it. As a family caregiver, it is so important to know how to access the resources you need.
This learning event is part one of a two-part series on Community Resources. The first webinar is about how to access community resources and the second which will be held on November 29th will be about building cooperative relationships with community service providers. This webinar will address this challenge with suggestions for how you might approach it. Learn about the steps you can take to ensure you don’t miss out on resources that can have a huge impact on your life and in the life of the person you are caring for.
Community resources can be from your Health Authority and/or from local community organizations and even friends who want to help.
It can feel daunting to work through a patchwork of services – let us help you prioritize your key needs and how to meet them.
Whether you need resources to assist with personal care of the person you are caring for or assistance with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, personalized care, transportation, this presentation will provide tips for figuring out what might help and how and where to look for it.
A question period will follow the presentation.
