Upcoming Facebook Live Sessions

Join Wendy Johnstone for our Facebook Live on November 10th at 9 am for a discussion on Resiliency.

Wendy will touch on defining resilience for caregivers and what it really means. We will explore the different aspects of resiliency (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual) and how we can self-manage and effectively use our energy across these areas. We'll connect viewers with some additional resources they can access from our website.

New to Facebook Live? It is a live recording on the Family Caregivers of BC Facebook Page. You can join during the live time or the recording is saved for you to watch at another time—similar to our webinars! Our Facebook Live sessions are shorter, bite-size learning opportunities for caregivers and our community.

New Caregiver Support Technology

“Let me know if I can ever do anything!”

If you’ve ever gotten hard-to-redeem offers of support, Vancouver company Caregiver Support Technologies would like you to try their new product, Blue

Blue is an assistant you access through your phone or computer that helps your community support you as a Caregiver. For example, through Blue, you can ask your community to help with the pick up of your care recipient from an appointment or support with the drop off of groceries. If you’re interested in learning more about Blue, please fill out this form.

Blue will select 5 family and friend caregivers to trial the product for free. In particular, the company is searching for caregivers who are juggling work and providing care at the same time. Blue looks forward to supporting caregivers and will follow up to answer any questions and help you get started.
