Family Caregivers of British Columbia (FCBC) is a non-profit charity dedicated to improving the lives of family and friend caregivers through education, emotional support, and advocacy. We believe that connection and peer support are essential to caregiver well-being — and that welcoming, compassionate spaces can make a lasting impact.
What is the Support Group Facilitator’s Role?
Support Group Facilitators volunteer to lead monthly caregiver support groups — either in person or online — creating a safe, inclusive environment for caregivers to share experiences, reduce isolation, and build community.
This is a peer-support role focused on guiding conversation, encouraging participation, and holding space for others. It’s ideal for individuals who are empathetic, dependable, and comfortable leading group discussions. FCBC provides comprehensive training, facilitation tools, and ongoing support to ensure your success.
