Join our Caregiver Support Group Facilitator Training and help lead safe, supportive spaces for caregivers across British Columbia.
About the Training
This training equips you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to facilitate caregiver support groups – virtually or in person. No prior facilitation experience is required.
You’ll learn how to:
- Facilitate meaningful group conversations
- Navigate group dynamics and boundaries
- Practice active listening and ask open-ended questions
- Foster emotional safety and support
- Handle challenging situations
- Apply trauma-informed and inclusive approaches
Who Should Register?
- Former or current family caregivers
- Community volunteers
- Individuals with a passion for mental health and caregiving
- Staff or volunteers from partner organizations

Winter 2026 Session Schedule
- Access to Online Modules: Feb 1, 2026
- Live Zoom Workshops: Wednesdays, Feb 18, 25 & Mar 4
- Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST
Training Format
- 8 self-paced online modules
- 3 live, interactive Zoom workshops (2 hours each)
- Estimated commitment: 12–15 hours over 3–4 weeks
