This session supports caregivers in understanding the complex experience of grief throughout the caregiving trajectory, particularly in bereavement. The presentation will explore the unique nature of caregiver grief, including post-death and post-caregiving experiences, with attention to factors that influence grief and the shifts in roles and identity that often follow. Practical strategies, tools, and resources will also be shared to support caregivers in navigating grief with greater clarity, self-compassion, and resilience.

About the presenter:
Rebecca Pimienta is a social worker and the Project Coordinator for Caregiver Grief Connexion. She holds a BSW and MSW from McGill University and has research experience in the fields of aging, dementia, and post-caregiving.
